With the aim of nurturing global talents and strengthening the analytical skills of students, YTN and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies(HUFS) will once again host YTN • HUFS Youth English Debating Championship together. In this Championship, each team is comprised of students who present Pro and Con orations and compete against each other on any given topic in English.

Students participating in the Championship must be able to go beyond just writing and speaking in English; they must be able to attain superiority over their counterparts through a well-organized presentation of logical arguments.
The winning team is chosen through preliminary matches held in the form of league matches and finals, the process of which will be longer and fiercer than any other examination.
The contestants will be expected to have the opportunity to enhance 4C, Communication, Collaboration, Creativity and Critical Thinking which have been highlighted as core capabilities to react to changes in the 21th century.

Hankuk University of Foreign Studies and YTN will further develop the Championship where all contestants can improve their debating skills actively with a free spirit by including the Primary School Tournament from 2015. YTN • HUFS Youth English Debating Championship which takes a quite distinguishable format from the past debate competitions! We actively seek the interest and participation of students who will grow into global leaders.
