First, we extend our sincere gratitude to all those who have shown great interest in the YTN-HUFS Youth English Debating Championship. Thanks to the revolutionary evolution of digital networks, the globe has been reorganized as a single, borderless space.

With this regard, excellent communication skills are absolutely critical to respond actively in this global era and act creatively on the international stage. In particular, through this Championship, participating students will have an opportunity to accomplish greater achievements in the future by enhancing their communication skills in English which is used by more than a third of people worldwide.

Against this backdrop, YTN and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies jointly organized the Youth English Debating Championship as the largest scale nationwide debate competition in Korea in 2009. Thanks to the enthusiastic participation by both the participants and the relevant figures, this Championship which was originally created as a tournament for only high school students has been expanded to cover middle school and primary school students as well.

The YTN-HUFS Youth English Debating Championship is moving forward to become a borderless debating competition by opening it door to international students as well as holding a middle school, primary school and high school| tournament annualy We cordially ask for the continued interest and participation of students, parents and relevant persons in this Youth English Debating Championship that is sincerely committed to fostering our young students as global leaders in the international community of limitless competition.
