- The roles and rules given to the debaters of the A and B teams are as follows:
① The first debater from Team A presents the pro arguments on the podium for 8 minutes, followed by
the 8-minute con argument by the first debater from Team B.
② The second debater from Team A refutes the arguments presented by the opposing team and presents
his/her own argument for 8 minutes. The second team from Team B also refutes the argument
presented by the opposing team and presents his/her own argument for 8 minutes.
③ The third debater from Team A highlights the important conflicts in the arguments raised and attacks
the arguments made by the opponent in light of these motions for 8 minutes.
In the same vein, the third debater from Team B highlights the important conflicts in the arguments
raised and delivers an 8-minute speech attacking the arguments in light of these motions.
④ Finally, the leader of Team B (one of the first or second debaters) summarizes the "biased resolution"
favorable to his/her own team on the podium for 4 minutes.
⑤ The leader of Team A (one of the first or second debaters) also wraps up by giving a "biased
resolution" favorable to his/her own team on the podium for 4 minutes.
※ The time limit for the speeches is based on high school debaters. The time limit for speeches will
be six minutes for middle school students and three minutes for elementary school students.
As for the resolution, it will be three minutes for both middle school students and elementary
school students.
※ As for the elementary school team, team leader will run the resolution.
